Chebsey & Co’s Entertainment Licensing Department can ensure that your business is compliant with the Licensing Act 2003.

We can advise and assist you on which type of licence you require, then prepare and issue applications on your behalf. You may need our help with the following:

  1. New Premises Licence

  2. Variation of an existing Premises Licence

  3. Transfer of a Premises Licence to a new business

  4. Becoming a Personal Licence Holder, renewing a Personal Licence or specifying an individual as a Designated Premises supervisor.

  5. Temporary Event Notice

If you have made an application for a Licence which has been contested, we can advise and represent you at a Local Authority Licensing Sub-Committee hearing. If you want to appeal a decision made by a Local Authority, we can also represent you in the Magistrates’ Court.

We also offer advice to you as an individual if you wish to make a representation to the Local Authority about a Licence application that has been made in your area. We will help you to draft your representation, negotiate with the Local Authority involved and represent you at any hearings if necessary.

Should you wish to discuss any licensing matter, please contact Keith Chebsey, Laura Poole or Helen Woodend on their respective telephone numbers or via email.
