The Real Josephine Sommer

Josephine Sommer came to the law with five children in tow. After studying finals at the Bar she was admitted to the Law Society in 1980.

In the 28 years since then her professional life has focussed on family work and litigation.

She was a pioneer in mediation in the early 90s in both family and other issues, and recently qualified in collaborative mediation.

In her private life, after family commitments, her interests are culturally diverse but she is passionate about music, motor racing and rugby, and writing the occasional Haiku, a form of traditional Japanese poetry.
