Our team usually charge at an hourly rate depending on the level of the fee earner. There are also a number of alternative that may be available to you (dependant on your circumstances), which we would be happy to discuss with you further.

Fixed-Fee Advice Clinic: £75 plus VAT

No Win No Fee… No Worries

Damages Based Agreements (“no win, no fee”) are available for certain types of cases, subject to merits and value.

If you would like us to take your case on a no win no fee, basis, we will meet with you to discuss your potential claim, and will then provide you with a written advice on the prospects of your claim succeeding and whether we can offer you a “no win no fee” agreement (with reasons).

Please note that there will be an initial fixed fee payable to us to meet with you, consider your papers and to provide you with an initial advice. This fixed fee will be refunded to you if we take your case on a no win no fee basis and you are awarded a sum of compensation over and above an agreed amount.

Insurance

Some insurance policies (e.g. home contents cover) provide the benefit of legal expenses insurance cover; we recommend that you check your policy wording or contact your provider to find out whether you are insured.

In the event that you are insured, current legislation states that you are able to choose the lawyer you want to represent you.

We at Chebsey & Co happily work with insurers to agree terms for working on claims, and are more than happy to discuss terms with your insurance company for representing you.

Compromise Agreements

We handle Compromise Agreements on a day to day basis, and understand that being asked to sign a Compromise Agreement is a life-changing event.

In the majority of cases, the cost of advice on the terms and effect of a compromise agreement will be covered by a contribution from your employer, which means that you can have the benefit of our expert advice at no additional cost. In some cases, we are able to offer a Damages Based Agreements (“no win, no fee”) to cover negotiations of the terms of the Agreement. Call our experts today.
